Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) is a celebration of the legendary Queen band, their music and the extraordinary leader of the band, Freddie Mercury, who defied the stereotypes and ruined the conventions, becoming one of the most beloved artists on the planet. The film follows the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic melodies and revolutionary sound, the collapse of the band as Mercury’s lifestyle goes out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, who is facing a threatening illness, leads the band in one of the most powerful performances in the history of rock music. In the 1985 Live Aid charity, the band has hypnotized the Wembley Stadium in London and the global TV audience with hits such as We Will Rock You and Radio Ga Ga. The band continued to concert and record even when Mercury’s health deteriorated. In 1991, a day after he publicly acknowledged that he had AIDS, Mercury died of his illness at the age of 45.
