The summer of 1788 in Rudolstadt, central Germany. The rebel poet Friedrich Schiller (Florian Stetter) and two sisters in a family impoverished, are bound for life to a wonderful time spent together. Caroline (Hannah Herzsprung) has an unhappy marriage, but she and her shy sister Charlotte (Henriette Confurius) respects the sanctity of oath to share everything, even the famous poet. Charlotte marries Schiller to continue the love triangle in the open. Caroline, whose novel Schiller publish anonymously, leaves her husband. The fragile balance of their relationship is turned upside down when a girl pregnant. But Schiller is determined to fight for both sisters.
