From the visionary director, Gore Verbinski, A Life Therapy is a scary psychological thriller that creeps you.
Dane DeHaan is Lockhart, a Wall Street stockbroker who is sent by his firm to a remote medical spa in the Alps. Lockhart has the mission of bringing back Company President Pembroke (Harry Groener), a spa patient, who told his employees that he had no intention of returning to New York.
Lockhart arrives at the quiet sanitarium where patients are supposed to receive a miraculous cure. In fact, it seems that their condition is getting worse. As he investigates the dark and shocking secrets behind the spa, he knows the gorgeous Hannah (Mia Goth), who is also patient there. She also gets to know another patient, eccentric Lady Watkins, played by Celia Imrie, who had done some detective work on her own.
Shortly thereafter, Lockhart is diagnosed with the same affection as other patients by the director of the institution, threatening Dr. Volmer (Jason Isaacs), and finds himself trapped in the alpine refuge. Lockhart begins to lose touch with reality and must endure unimaginable torments during his own “treatment.”
