The film presents the case against Clarence Thomas – Anita Hill, an incendiary event in 1991, which shocked America and forever changed the way people thought of sexual harassment victims’ rights and modern interracial relationships. Anita Hill (Kerry Washington), accused Clarence Thomas (Wendell Pierce) sexual harassment during hearings held to his appointment as Supreme Court Judge. Allegations have questioned the reputation of Thomas, and Hill’s audience unsure of its credibility.
The cast is rounded with Greg Kinnear in the role of Joe Biden, Dylan Baker (Senato Orrin Hatch), Grace Gummer (Ricki Seidman) and Alison Wright (wife of Clarence Thomas).
The screenplay was written by screenwriter Susannah Grant, Academy Award nominee for “Erin Brockovich” in 2000.
